Wrench Ace is built to respect your privacy completely. The short version: we don't collect personal information, there are no ads, and there's nothing to sign up for.
No accounts
Wrench Ace has no login, no sign-up, and no user accounts. You never give us a name, email address, or password to use the app.
No personal information
We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. The app has no advertising and no advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs; the only third-party service it uses is the anonymous usage analytics described below, and we have no server of our own that receives your information.
Anonymous usage analytics
Wrench Ace collects anonymous, aggregated usage analytics through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service, so we can see which features are used and fix what isn't working. Each install is identified only by a random identifier generated on your device (and hashed before it is sent); we never collect your name, email address, or device serial number, and the analytics never include your answers, question text, or payment details. The data is not linked to your identity, is not used to track you across other apps or websites, and is never sold or used for advertising. Analytics are sent only when you have an internet connection and are not needed for the app to work.
Your progress stays on your device
Your study data in Wrench Ace — your answered questions, scores, streaks, Wording Gym stats, and settings — is stored only on your device. It never leaves your iPhone. If you delete the app, that data is removed with it.
Works offline
The full question bank ships inside the app, so Wrench Ace works with no internet connection. It doesn't need the network to function; when you are online, the only thing it sends is the anonymous usage analytics described above.
Purchases
Wrench Ace is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We never see or store your payment details. Any billing information is processed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy. If you restore a purchase, that transaction is verified by Apple, not by us.
Children
Wrench Ace is a study tool for automotive technicians and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page. Because the app collects no personal information, any change would only be to keep this wording current.
